Here's a little info about...BARC is a no kill adoption agency. They are a 501(c)3 - Not For Profit - established in 1979. They were the first and remain the only county wide animal welfare agency. They performed HUGE rescues this year including the Summerdale Purple Hearted Puppies tragedy and Puppy Mill close downs. Now they need our help more than ever because they are going through a financial storm and are facing having to close. Please donate and bid on items in this auction to help them out. :-)

BARC's Mission Statement -
The corporation was formed to provide a means for the prevention of cruelty to animals within Baldwin County; to assist with the enforcement of lawful means with the arrest, conviction and punishment of all persons violating such laws, and alleviate the over-population of dogs and cats within Baldwin County; to promote the adoption of homeless cats and dogs to good homes; and to help alleviate cruelty to and suffering of animals wherever such may occur.
BARC's Overview -
The Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC!) was formed in 1979 as the county’s first animal advocacy group. In 1979, there were no shelters in the county and no voices to speak for the animals. Today we are very lucky to have multiple animal rescue groups all working toward the same goal of eliminating the number of abused and abandoned pets through spay/neuter, education, rescue and adoption. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home hundreds of abused, abandoned and neglected pets annually.
